How to Find Your Courage: Stand Up Against Bullying

Hi everyone! Things have been crazy busy for me these past few weeks.
First I am back in school! My first year at the Jr high. Things are very different but I love my school and my friends. When you are a social butterfly like me, everyday is an event! I am also in full All Star Cheer mode now. This coming weekend is choreography and my teams first competition is fast approaching in Nashville on Novmeber 1st.I am up to level 4 tumbling skills and am very excited about things coming up in the next few weeks. With school back in swing, I wanted to take the time to talk to ya’ll about a topic that is close to my heart….Bullying.

How Fitness Saved Me: The Story Not Many People Know

Doctor Henry Link once said “We generate fears while we sit. We overcome them by action. Fear is natures way of warning us to get busy.” 
Last year nearly 35,000 cheerleaders had a visit to the Emergency Room with an injury. Concussions, fractures, spinal injuries, are all the most common type of injury in the cheerleading world. Everyday, at every practice, cheerleaders put themselves in danger of injury. Every practice, these cheerleaders show back up, and continue to do what they love. Most of the time, the injuries are a minor bump or bruise from a falling flyer, or a sprained ankle, or wrist from not landing that back handspring the right way.
Sometimes there are injuries that cost cheerleaders their cheering careers.

There’s no greater feeling than those Friday night lights beating down on you with a crisp, fall breeze lofting through the air, just enough to give you chills when you looks up into the stands and see the crowd of people on their feet. No, nothing can quite compare to that butterfly feeling you get in your stomach when you put on your uniform, grab your poms, and run out onto the field. Summer Fit Tips

Staying in cheer shape over the summer is extremely important for athletes for many reasons.

Summer time is a time where we can frequently lose track of schedules. We can relax and just be free. However it is important to also remember to schedule time for your physical fitness. Not only is it healthy for your growing body but it will also be very beneficial when that season begins again.
