For today’s episode of Life After Cheer, I talk with Kristen Long – not only, of course, a former cheerleader, but also the founder of Kristen Long Communications! We talk about tips for success, a good work-life balance, and entrepreneurship, as well as specifics such as:

  1. (10:40) Work on trusting your gut feeling more often!
  2. (32:10) It can be difficult to stick with things when they aren’t working out immediately, but not everything is going to happen right away
  3. (45:28) Make sure to distinguish between making an effort and forcing something out of frustration

Christina is a cheerleading and tumbling aficionado who has led senior-level all-star teams to multiple local, regional, and national titles and has more than 25 years of experience as a Pop Warner, high school, and all-star cheerleader. She is contracted to work as a tumble instructor at several cheer and dance organizations in New Jersey and is a longstanding choreographer for reputable recreation, high school, and all-star competitive teams throughout the Northeast region. She is a member of the American Association of Cheerleading Coaches and Administrators (AACCA), USASF, and NFHS. Christina is USASF certified in Building and Tumbling Levels 1-5 and assists USASF in credentialing other all-star coaches. She is a certified Varsity judge for all-star competitions and a freelance writer for Cheer Professional magazine.

Currently, She is a cheerleading coach at Princeton University and has her MBA in Marketing. CHEERFIT has been one of her favorite workouts since she met Danielle during her sophomore year of high school.

Claudia was a cheerleader for 14 years before beginning her coaching career right out of college. After a season at the High School Varsity level, Claudia was hired to lead the Princeton University Cheerleading Team as Head Coach in 2021. Claudia cheered from Rec to high school and culminated her college cheerleading experience at Seton Hall University where she graduated with her undergraduate degree in Business Administration in 2020. Claudia received her MBA in Marketing from Seton Hall in 2021 and joined CHEERFIT as their Head Marketing Coach shortly after. Claudia also travels around the Tristate Area leading camps and clinics with Rah Rah Routines. She loves sharing her passion for the sport with athletes of all ages and levels!
